Our camp schedule
We offer activities around languages and the cultures they convey with artistic workshops and cooking experience for Pre-K to 5th graders. Each weekly session will expose campers to different cultures and languages.
Students attending middle school and high school are welcome to be part of a separate intensive language program.
Students will be engaged in special projects around language learning, mind games, skill building as well as artistic workshops. Campers will be exposed to several languages in a multicultural camp format.
A variety of curricula aimed at (a) promoting empowerment and character growth; (b) sharing cultural differences (within the context of power point presentations, games, books, documentaries, music, art crafts workshops, storytelling and cooking demos); (c) instilling bonds of friendship, respect and trust; (d) challenge themselves and each other; (e) unleashing their creativity and sense of movement and music appreciation; (f) enjoying a picnic lunch and mini field trips.
Our multicultural camps are where language, culture, arts, curiosity, critical thinking, teamwork, science and enjoyment all come together. It is where a connection is established between all our five senses and where our learning, and practices make us engaged - through our social responsibility and values- in impacting positively our surroundings. The core foundation of our Academy is built upon creativity, exploration, and fun. We offer inspiring, non-technology and technology experiences one camper at a time. We transition students – from being passive learners to active/engaged campers. Our multicultural camps build inclusive, hands-on, educational, fun learning environments where students are empowered with the autonomy, tools, and skills they need to build their confidence and use their inquisitive minds.
Over the past twelve years, we aim to offer a set of experiences that make students navigate between utilizing their imagination and hand-eye coordination to conquer challenges and be engaged in their own learning. Depending on their existing strengths, our students developed over the years their self- confidence, self-expression, empathy, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills.
Our multicultural camps offers a blend of:
- Language exposure;
- Experimental Learning to quench the thirst for curiosity (use of microscopes to explore the "little creatures surrounding us"; Mindfulness (yoga/stretching/breathing exercises);
- Creativity through artistic activities (painting, cartooning, sculpting);
- Sensory and motor activities (listening and dancing to music of the world and numerous organized sport activities during our daily outdoor play;
- Energetic games, hands-on activities, crafts and make new friends that may last a lifetime;
- Experience the eighth art (campers will enjoy, when possible, a movie and lunch organized and held privately at the theater just for the Academy's Summer Camp);
- The art of Cooking: a blend of Art & Science: covering the preparation, cooking, plating, presentation, serving of food and of course making our taste buds grateful.
